Naps

My 6 month old has now decided to boycott naps.  She went from 2 naps a day and sleeping through the night to naps of 1/2 hour each?  Is this a phase?  And yes,  blah blah blah she sleeps through the night. (... more on refusing naps)

My girls are teething and crawling and pulling themselves up on everything and I really thought that they would want to nap more than ever, yet it seems like napping is the last thing they want to do.  We end up fighting to try to get them to get even just a little bit of a nap.  They used to take a morning and afternoon nap about 1 - 1.5 hours each.  (.... more on the transition from two naps to one nap)

My daughter is almost 11 months old and has never been a good napper.  We put her down for a nap 2X/day around 10 and 2 (depending on her wake time.)  She puts herself to sleep fairly easily within 5 minutes (no soother) but only sleeps for 30 minutes and wakes up. She literally goes from sound asleep to wide awake at the 30 minute mark. It is very difficult (... more on naps too short)



My son wakes up from overnight sleep and morning nap beautifully. Peaceful and plays for a while in crib. But every afternoon nap, he wakes up screaming bloody murder. He doesn't even slowly wake up screaming, no (... more on Waking from Nap Screaming)

 

Our son is now 3 months old and sleeps approximately 11 hours a night (waking once to nurse). However, he refuses to sleep more than 20 minutes during nap times during the day. He's only getting maybe 2 hours of combined sleep (... more on short naps)
