Separation Anxiety

Our son is 16 months old now and we just started daycare 2 days a week and I was wondering if you had any advice on making the transition smoother in the morning when I drop him off. The first few days he was fine but now separation anxiety has set in and he is screaming and crying when I leave him. I know its normal but just curious if there is anything I can do to make it easier on both of us.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for separation anxiety. Time is your only answer. I would recommend a rigid routine when dropping him off. Make it quick, be confident and get out of there. Typically, children stop crying shortly after their parents leave.
